Elections 2013: Election Commission revised election schedule  

 

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) revised the schedule for general elections 2013

 

In partial modification of this Commission’s Notification of even number, dated the 22nd March, 2013, in exercise of its powers under section 11A of the Representation of the People Act, 1976 (Act No. LXXXV of 1976) and on the demand of Political Parties from Balochistan, the Election Commission is pleased to revise various stages of schedule for General Elections, 2013contained therein to the following extent:

2.               The date of poll will remain the same as was notified earlier.

 

3.               The above mentioned Programme shall also apply to the seats reserved for Women and non-Muslims in the National Assembly and Provincial Assemblies of the Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.

In this role the center plans to serve as a valuable information resource and tool for political leaders, journalists, scholars and citizens. The Center will conduct regular weekly, monthly and quarterly polls and surveys on major issues to gauge public opinion and track new and emerging trends in Pakistani civil society in reaction to major news events. Shorter commentaries will also be produced on a regular basis addressing the issues of the day from a public opinion perspective. In addition, the Center will periodically field major surveys on the news media, social issues and international affairs. All of our current survey results will be made available free of charge on our website: www.rtipakistan.com , through press release to print media. The center will also publish a quarterly newsletter.
